Nutrition is fundamentally the relationship between the nutrients from food and drinks that we consume and how they impact our health.  Nutrients are essential for the healthy functioning of our bodies, the prevention of disease and how we ensure adequate energy, health and vitality through optimal functioning of our cells.  Nutrients are made up of macro-nutrients - fats, proteins, carbohydrates and micro-nutrients – vitamins and minerals.  It is vital that we achieve a healthy balanced daily intake of nutrients from our diet with adequate hydration for us to remain healthy in body and mind.
